For this reason we have called The Sealed Portion, The Final Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the ONLY AND FINAL WRITTEN SCRIPTURE AUTHORIZED TO COME FORTH FROM GOD FOR THE BENEFIT OF HIS CHILDREN. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER, AND ONLY the unsealed protion of these plates was given IN THE LATTER DAYS as a predecessor to this work.

The Sealed Portion was NOT written by Chris Nemelka, not ONE jot, tittle, or verse. IT WAS TRANSLATED FROM THE SAME PLATES FROM WHICH CAME THE BOOK OF MORMON. If there are mistakes, then they are the mistakes of men, usually grammatical, but sometimes slight contradictions that a “weak” man of the flesh could make. (Caps in the original.)

THE ORDER IN WHICH THE RECORDS WILL BE RELEASED ARE:

1. THE BOOK OF MORMON

2. THE GREATER THINGS OF JESUS

To receive the Greater Things of Jesus one must only believe in the Book of Mormon. To receive the Sealed Portion one must have faith like the brother of Jared, faith strong enough to see God.

6 And now there cannot be written in this book (The Book of Mormon) even a hundredth part of the things which Jesus did truly teach unto the people;
7 But behold the Plates of Nephi do contain the more part of the things which he taught the people.
8 And these things have I written (The Book of Mormon) which are a lesser part of the things which he taught the people; and I have written them to the intent that they may be brought again unto this people, from the Gentiles, according to the words which Jesus hath spoken.
9 And when they shall have received this (The Book of Mormon) which is expedient that they should have FIRST to try their faith, and if it shall so be that they shall BELIEVE these things THEN SHALL THE GREATER THINGS BE MADE MANIFEST UNTO THEM.
10 And IF it so be that THEY WILL NOT BELIEVE THESE THINGS (The Book of Mormon) THEN SHALL THE GREATER THINGS BE WITHHELD from them, unto their condemnation. (3 Nephi 26)

The Greater Things of Jesus are recorded on the Plates of Nephi and are scheduled to come forth next. However, according to D&C 84 and President Benson the people are not ready:

The Lord inspired His servant Lorenzo Snow to reemphasize the principle of tithing to redeem the Church from financial bondage…. Now, in our day, the Lord has revealed the need to REEMPHASIZE the Book of Mormon TO GET THE CHURCH AND ALL THE CHILDREN OF ZION OUT FROM UNDER CONDEMNATION—THE SCOURGE AND JUDGMENT. (Ensign, May 1986, p. 78; D&C 84:54-58).

3. THE PLATES OF BRASS

Lesser known than the Sealed Portion of the Book of Mormon are the Plates of Brass which were prophesied would go forth to ALL the world:

17 And now when my father saw all these things, he was filled with the Spirit, and began to prophesy concerning his seed—

18 That THESE PLATES OF BRASS SHOULD GO FORTH UNTO ALL NATIONS, kindreds, tongues, and people who were of his seed.

19 Wherefore, he said that these PLATES OF BRASS SHOULD NEVER PERISH; neither should they be dimmed any more by time. And he prophesied many things concerning his seed. (1 Nephi 5)

They contain more writings than the Old Testament:

23 And he said: Behold it proceedeth out of the mouth of a Jew. And I, Nephi, beheld it; and he said unto me: The book that thou beholdest is a record of the Jews, which contains the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; and it also containeth many of the prophecies of the holy prophets; and IT (Old Testament) IS A RECORD LIKE UNTO THE ENGRAVINGS WHICH ARE UPON THE PLATES OF BRASS, SAVE THERE ARE NOT SO MANY; nevertheless, they contain the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; wherefore, they are of great worth unto the Gentiles. (1 Nephi 13)

They contain the “mysteries” of God:

3 And THESE PLATES OF BRASS, which contain these engravings, which have the records of the holy scriptures upon them, which have the genealogy of our forefathers, even from the beginning—

4 Behold, IT HAS BEEN PROPHESIED by our fathers, that they should be kept and handed down from one generation to another, and be kept and preserved by the hand of the Lord until they SHOULD GO FORTH UNTO EVERY NATION, kindred, tongue, and people, that THEY SHALL KNOW OF THE MYSTERIES CONTAINED THEREON.
14 And now remember, my son, that God has entrusted you with these things, which are sacred, which he has kept sacred, and also which he will keep and preserve for a wise purpose in him, that he may show forth his power unto future generations.

15 And now behold, I tell you by the spirit of prophecy, that if ye transgress the commandments of God, behold, these things which are sacred shall be taken away from you by the power of God, and ye shall be delivered up unto Satan, that he may sift you as chaff before the wind. (Alma 37)

4. OTHER TRIBES

It was prophesied that we would have the records of the lost tribes of Israel and they would have the Book of Mormon:

13 And it shall come to pass that the Jews shall have the words of the Nephites, and the Nephites shall have the words of the Jews; and THE NEPHITES AND THE JEWS SHALL HAVE THE WORDS OF THE LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL; and the lost tribes of Israel shall have the words of the Nephites and the Jews. (2 Nephi 29)

5. THE SEALED PORTION

Lastly, the Sealed Portion of the Book of Mormon will not come forth until 1 and 2 have come to pass AND a day of EXCEEDING FAITH  and RIGHTEOUSNESS exist:

6 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall bring forth unto you the words of a book, and they shall be the words of them which have slumbered.
7 And behold the book shall be sealed; and in the book shall be a revelation from God, from the beginning of the world to the ending thereof.
8 Wherefore, because of the things which are sealed up, the THINGS WHICH ARE SEALED SHALL NOT BE DELIVERED IN THE DAY OF THE WICKEDNESS AND ABOMINATIONS of the people. WHEREFORE THE BOOK SHALL BE KEPT FROM THEM. (2 Nephi 27)

The Sealed Portion will come forth in a day of FAITH when mankind is ready and worthy to know ALL THINGS, i.e. the mysteries of God.

22 Wherefore, when thou hast read the words which I have commanded thee, and obtained the witnesses which I have promised unto thee, then shalt thou seal up the book again, and hide it up unto me, that I may preserve the words which thou hast not read (Sealed Portion) UNTIL I SHALL SEE FIT IN MINE OWN WISDOM TO REVEAL ALL THINGS UNTO THE CHILDREN OF MEN.
23 For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I WORK NOT AMONG THE CHILDREN OF MEN SAVE IT BE ACCORDING TO THEIR FAITH. (2 Nephi 27)

4 Behold, I have written upon these plates the very things which the brother of Jared saw; and there never were greater things made manifest than those which were made manifest unto the brother of Jared.
5 Wherefore the Lord hath commanded me to write them; and I have written them. And he commanded me that I should SEAL THEM UP; and he also hath commanded that I should seal up the interpretation thereof; wherefore I have sealed up the interpreters, according to the commandment of the Lord.
6 For the Lord said unto me: THEY SHALL NOT GO FORTH UNTO THE GENTILES UNTIL THE DAY THAT THEY REPENT OF THEIR INIQUITY AND BECOME CLEAN BEFORE THE LORD.
7 And IN THAT DAY THAT THEY SHALL EXERCISE FAITH IN ME SAITH THE LORD, EVEN AS THE BROTHER OF JARED DID (To see God.) that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them ALL MY REVELATIONS saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are.
8 And he that will contend against the word of the Lord, let him be accursed; and he that shall deny these things, let him be accursed; for unto them will I show no greater things, saith Jesus Christ; for I am he who speaketh. (Ether 4)

6. A MARVELOUS WORK AND A WONDER

The coming forth of the Book of Mormon is called “A Marvelous Work and A Wonder.” The Marvelous Work and A Wonder, i.e. The Book of Mormon, was to occur in troubled times and is not referring to the Sealed Portion which will come forth in faithful times after the above mentioned records.

25 Forasmuch as this people draw near unto me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear towards me is taught by the precepts of men—
26 Therefore, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, yea, A MARVELOUS WORK AND A WONDER, for the wisdom of their wise and learned shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent shall be hid. (2 Nephi 27)
